LA Rams Update: Ex-Tom Brady Mentor Working With Jared Goff

Super Bowl XLIX - New England Patriots v Seattle Seahawks

Second-year Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff is working with highly regarded quarterbacks coaches Adam Dedeaux and Tom House, according to MMQB’s Albert Breer.

House is the founder of 3DQB, a QBs-training program that incorporates “cross-specific training programs and exercises that will help athletes improve their game time performance, motion, and movement mechanics,” according to the 3DQB.com website. “Increase their upper-body strength, flexibility, power, and muscle endurance, while achieving maximum performance and minimizing risk of injury.”

New England Patriots and five-time Super Bowl-winning QB Tom Brady has worked with House, a former baseball player who noted similarities in the way Major League Baseball pitchers and NFL quarterbacks throw a ball. Brady provides a testimonial that is featured on the website:

“Over the years, I was a little inefficient and I learned how to get away with it. I’ve been working with Tom House on what’s called ground-force production… Kinetic sequencing, getting the power from the ground, which translates from the ground to your legs, to your hips, to the shoulder, and all the energy is going toward the target. I’ve always had confidence throwing the football, but you have to stay on top of it. That’s going to be a never-ending quest for me. But right now, I am more confident than ever.”

Other clients include Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, Eli Manning Andy Dalton, Marcus Mariota and even former Rams starter Case Keenum, USA Today’s Ramswire reports. The 3DQB website also played host to Tim Tebow.

Goff struggled mightily during his rookie season in Los Angeles. He played eight games, with seven starts, completing 54.6 percent of his passes (112 of 205) for 1,089 yards with five touchdowns and seven interceptions. He had a record of 0-7 with a passer rating of 63.6.

Goff’s offseason work is a sign that he wants to improve, but 3DQB hasn’t made stars of all its clients. New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is a 3DQB alum, but so is Tim Tebow and Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles.
