Leominster Mayor Confirms Police Officer Used Racial Slur at Crawford

Leominster mayor Dean Mazzarella shared the results of the city’s investigation of police officer John Perrault who was said to have directed a racial slur at Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford.  The investigation did confirm that Perrault used a racial slur at Crawford while he was playing for the Portland Sea Dogs in a rehab game in Manchester, NH.  Perrault has been suspended with pay and additional disciplinary action could come next week.
