Wondering what the disgraced home run king is up to now? Quick, name the sport that is more associated with PEDs than baseball. WWE? Okay, second choice. Cycling. That’s right, Barry Bonds has taken up cycling and will be participating in Levi Leipheimer’s Gran Fondo in Santa Rosa, California this Saturday. You might recognize the name Levi Leinheimer, he is the pro cyclist that dropped a dime on his former teammate Lance Armstrong to the U.S Anti-Doping Agency in exchange for immunity after he admitted doping himself.
Bonds is said to look more like a cyclist now than the muscular player he was when he was playing for the Giants. He will be riding 103 miles with some of the premier cyclists in the country. Now sure if there will be an asterisk next to his name if he posts a good time.
In all seriousness, Levi Leipheimer and Barry Bonds have always done a lot for charity and this event raises money for some good causes, so good for them.
