Dropping a deuce – Part Two – Malcolm Jenkins

Two days before kickoff.  48 hours.  Are you ready?

In keeping with the tradition of our countdown format, we bring you a player who has worn #2 for the Buckeyes.  But Jeebus, who to pick????  Oh, the hell with it…..let’s just do a series of our #2 legends!

Next up, Malcolm Jenkins!

2 - Jenkins

It’s going to be hard to imagine a defense without Jenkins on the field. He’s been with us as a strength since the 2006 season, and he has saved many a game for the Buckeyes.

We salute Jenkins with one of his biggest highlights of the 2008 season (although bodyslamming that Michigan player in the first quarter last year ranks high on the list).

At Wisconsin last year, the Buckeyes trailed the Badgers 17-13 late in the game. Another #2, Terrelle Pryor led the offense the field to take the lead 20-13 with 1 minute left, but there was still time left on the clock for Wisky to make a final drive to tie it or win it. there was time for about 7 or 8 plays if they played their hurry-up offense right.

Or, if they throw it to Jenkins’ side of the field, there was time for just one play and then go into the locker room on the losing side.

The first play of Wisconsin’s final drive…..

Here’s to you, Malcolm!

2 days left!
