Recap: Celtics lose by 24 in season finale

While I wanted the Celtics to finish the regular season with an emotional #BostonStrong victory over the Toronto Raptors, it wasn’t meant to be. Doc Rivers rested Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry and played Paul Pierce, Jeff Green and Brandon Bass sparingly. The result was a 114-90 loss to the Raptors. At least no one got hurt.

There was a moment of silence in honor of the bombing victims and the Celtics were introduced to “Sweet Caroline.” I’ll be honest, I thought it was weak. Leave that song for the Red Sox.

The Green:

Paul Pierce had 11 points on 5-7 shooting. That’s it.

The Gross:

The Celtics gave up 37 points in the 3rd quarter. Game over.

Greenlights:

The Bruins pregame ceremony and the fans singing the national anthem at the Garden. It trumps anything from tonight’s game.
