Via our good friend Paul Flannery comes more fantastic news on the Bill Russell Legacy Project:
The Bill Russell statue will be unveiled on Nov. 1 at City Hall Plaza. It’s been a long time coming.

David Stern, Jim Brown & Charles Barkley are just a few of the names on a star-studded list of those scheduled to attend. The ceremony will take place at Boston’s Government Center on November 1st. The Celtics will play their home opener later that night and it should be an epic evening. Head over to the project’s official site for more details, and read Flannery’s original Boston Magazine piece here. PFlanns was generous enough to spend some time with John and Jon of Celtics Stuff Live on Monday night where he talked more about what the Legacy Project means to him.
