Sam Smith of Bulls.com fires the first shot in the post All-Star game trade rumors. He has this vague “scoop” on what the Celtics allegedly want for Rajon Rondo:
This is the big week in the NBA when Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Love, Greg Monroe, Pau Gasol and Rajon Rondo are not likely to be traded.
…
The asking price if you can get Rondo is said to be two unprotected first rounders.
Update: Grantland’s Zach Lowe confirms the report:
Have heard same. RT @hoopshype: Rumors: Celtics want two first-round picks for Rajon Rondo. http://t.co/I40I4xu5Tj

This report is way too vague for me to believe it.
Draft pick compensation for Rondo in any deal would vary by team. I’m pretty sure Danny Ainge wouldn’t accept two 1st round picks from the Heat, Pacers or Thunder for Rondo.
Buckle up. The trade rumor rollercoaster has started.
