Well here we are Celtics fans. It’s the middle of April, and for the first time in a long time, Boston is not in the playoffs. So what do we do now? Live vicariously through Pierce & Garnett of course.
After the Toronto Sun came out and called Ticket & Truth “dinosaurs“, Paul Pierce took over game one of the Nets’ playoff series with the Raps in the fourth quarter. After a Kyle Lowry layup tied the game at 73 with 6:25 left, Pierce checked back in & commenced to hit one big shot after another. Truth tallied 9 points, 2 assists & 1 rebound in that final 6 minutes & change, helping Brooklyn seal the deal in Toronto. Paul finished with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block & 1 steal on the day, and despite not scoring in bunches, KG also played a part in Brooklyn’s victory. In just over 20 minutes on the floor, Ticket put in 5 points, grabbed 8 boards, had 2 steals, a block & an assist. The Dinosaurs take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
