If you missed Boston’s second Summer League game today at work like most of us, don’t worry-it wasn’t much of a contest. Despite jumping out to a 30-14 lead after the 1st quarter, the Celts couldn’t keep it together and fell to the Pacers 96-77.

The second and third frames did Boston in, as the Pacers outscored the Celtics 65-27. The Celts also had a bevy of foul problems, as Indiana attempted 45 free-throws. Willie Reed led the Pacers with 18 points while teammate Kevin Jones put in 17.

Kelly Olynyk once again led the Celts in scoring, tallying 15 points to go with 6 rebounds & 4 assists. Marcus Smart struggled from the field, most notably in the second half where he went 1 of 8, and finished with 11 points, (5 of 13 total shooting) 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal & 1 block. You can check out his game highlights below. Summer League invitee Mike Mosner was impressive, putting together a solid line of 11 points, 6 rebounds & 4 assists in 20 minutes. He also shot 3 of 7 from downtown. Phil Pressey had 13 points and Edwin Jackson (8 of 8 FTs) had 14.

Boston is off tomorrow and next plays Detroit on Wednesday night at 7pm. If you’d like to watch today’s game, locally, CSNNE is airing it in it’s entirety now. I’ve also added some game highlights via “Celtics Lowdown”.
