According to Spain’s La Malaga, Vitor Faverani was arrested in Valencia on Sunday morning for drunk driving. The site says that Vitor’s BMW crashed into a bus after going through a red light on Balearic Avenue.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the crash. Vitor had passengers in the car, but the site did not state how many/who they were. After two separate breath tests showed that Faverani was three times over the legal limit, he was taken into custody. The driver of the other vehicle was also given a breathalyzer per Spanish law, and it was negative. Vitor was later released and will appear in court on a later date. La Malaga states that a “crane” was later brought in to remove Vitor’s car.
Vitor has been in Spain rehabbing his left knee with hopes of returning to the Celtics this coming season. No comment/statement from the team as of this post.
