Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
Rajon Rondo landed safely at Beijing International Airport at around 7pm local time on Sunday night. Celtics strength & conditioning coach Bryan Doo, who traveled with KG on one of his trips to China, accompanied Rondo. That’s him way over to the right wondering why no one wants his autograph. A groggy looking Rajon stopped to sign autographs and pose for pictures with the many excited fans who came out to greet him.
This is Rondo’s third time visiting China, his first since signing with sneaker company Anta. He told Sina’s Li Shuangfu that he’s “very excited” and also mentioned he may partake in another “ice bucket challenge” when he visits the Great Wall.
Rajon will spend nine days in China. While there, he’ll hold “Control Camp”-a point guard driven clinic sponsored by Anta. It will be attended by boys & girls who qualified by going through a series of competitions that measured their hoops skills. He’ll also visit Yao Ming’s camp and check in on the development of his second signature shoe at Anta’s Chinese headquarters. Thanks to my good friends over at Weibo & Hoop China for the inside scoop and help with translation. Stay tuned to Red’s Army for the latest pics & video from Rondo’s trip. Here are a few more pics from the airport snapped by fans & Li Shuangfu.
On Page 2, Olynyk finally shaved off that awful chin..thing
Kelly Olynyk’s beard/tribble/patch that was the ire of many a Celtic fan is gone. A photo that Klynyk posed for yesterday with a fan in Nebraska proves it:
