Friday is “St. Louis Blues Day”. Dress Accordingly

City of St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay officially declared Friday, April 27th to be “St. Louis Blues Day”, as reported by the St. Louis Blues official site. In his address today, Slay encouraged citizens of St. Louis (and the surrounding areas, of course) to show their pride on Friday by wearing their St. Louis Blues gear.

The entire proclamation by the Mayor, seen here, congratulates the team’s accomplishments throughout the regular season and first round of the playoffs. Slay urged that all citizens follow and support the Blues as they head into the second round against the Los Angeles Kings.

There you have it Blues fans. Wear your team gear, or blue, on Friday in a way of supporting the team. If your work or school won’t allow it simply tell your boss, principal or teacher that you have the Mayor’s permission*.
