Marcus Thornton had not seen many minutes leading up to yesterday’s game in Boston against the Wizards. Well he sure made all of his time on the floor worth while on Sunday. Thornton scored 21 points, including going 3 of 4 from downtown and a perfect 4 of 4 from the line. Thornton did this all in just 17 minutes.
Thornton has averaged just around 14 mpg under Brad Stevens so far this year, his lowest average since 2010 while he was with New Orleans. Going forward, Thornton can hopefully be a valuable weapon coming off of the C’s bench when called upon.
