Last time

The last time the Celtics faced the Heat we were able to win 101-96. Lebron James was a late scratch, and the Celtics led by our old friend Rajon Rondo used a late fourth quarter run to pull away late. Some Celtics fans were unhappy about the result, since at that point of the season we were mostly playing for the lottery.

This time

Get it to:  Everyone!

This Celtics team has no all-star scorers, and the way we win games is to keep pushing the pace and continuing to make the right basketball plays on the offensive end. A good game for the Celtics can see 4 or more guys score in double figures. The message here should just be to play with the flow, and just make the right play, the points will come.

Gotta stop:  Dwayne Wade

Wade is at the tail end of his prime, but someone obviously forgot to tell him. His one of the most efficient players in the NBA with a 23.72 PER, and he shots an ultra-efficient 51.7% from the field. His the team leading scorer, and distribution man, and his pump-fakes can get you in foul trouble quick. With no Chris Bosh the Celtics will look to shutting him down as a main priority, but it will be no easy task, Smart and Bradley will have their hands full.

The Wild Card:  Jae Crowder

We all kind of have an idea from what were going to get from all the new guys, but Crowder has been a mystery for most fans. He’s never really gotten the minutes to showcase his talents, but with this system he’ll get the chance. I’m not expecting him to be the reason we win or lose tonight, but I’m interested to see how he will perform with the second unit.

How we see it goin’ down

No Chris Bosh mixed with a poor Heat home record, and one of the worst fanbases in the league bodes well for the Celtics. Heat are the slowest pace team in the league, so as long as we continue to get out in transition this game is very winnable.I’m expecting four in a row after tonight.
