PZ has your video of Marcus Smart’s night (12 points, 6 assists) against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. Then, the fellas from “CELTICS LOWDOWN” have the condensed version of Boston’s 110-98 loss to the Wolves.
The Celtics had tonight off, before finally returning home to face the Rockets on Friday night. Tip-off is at 7:30pm EST. The Rockets announced today that they will be without C Dwight Howard for at least the next two games. Howard is dealing with early on set menopause swelling in his right knee.
From Adrian Wojnarowski:
As the Rockets embarked on a two-game Eastern Conference trip to Boston and Detroit on Thursday, Howard traveled elsewhere to get further evaluation on his swollen knee, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Howard has a buildup of fluid in his right knee that has caused the concern. He sat out 11 games earlier this season with a strain in the same knee.
Howard missed the Rockets’ past two games, victories over the Lakers and Mavericks, with a sprained ankle.
The Celtics then wrap up the short home stand with a visit from the Miami Heat on Super Bowl Sunday. Tip-off is at 1pm EST.
