Delonte aka DWill?

File this one under bizarre-even for old friend Delonte West aka Charlee Redz and now aka Deron Williams? According to NBA Stream, DWest has converted his personal Instagram account into an account titled “Deron Williams”. Yeah I don’t get it either:

Delonte West (former NBA player) changed his IG account to a fake Deron Williams page.. West's IG name used to start out with @charleeredz & when I went to look up @charleeredz in search, this popped up. Also, 26K was the same amount of followers Delonte had & if you try to find his IG, this will pop up.

West played part of last season in China, then finished up 2015 on the D-League’s Texas Legends. The Washington Post’s Rick Maese did a fantastic piece on West last month, where Delonte was quite candid about some of his past struggles:

As he has always been, West is colorful, open and verbose. Each question takes him to unexpected places, and his meandering answers are like connecting dots, the full picture not revealed until every last dot has been reached.

“I’ve never shared this like this,” he said, “but I used to try to kill myself all the time.”

Only God knows what’s in the cards for Delonte West going forward, but I’ve always liked him and admire the resilience he’s shown through all of his ups & downs. I’d love to see him regain some stability, but we’ll just have to wait and see…
