So let’s recap for a moment what the almighty computers have predicted for your Boston Celtics:
First, it was Nylon Calculus calling the Celtics a 49-win third seed.
Then, FiveThirtyEight is called the Celtics a 48-win team.
Now… we’ve got a couple of more to add to the mis=x
@MrTrpleDouble10 @twi77erton I just got the @HPBNetwork preview and all the projections love the C’s & hate Nets. pic.twitter.com/CbO6diducV

Ran those SPM projections based off @bball_ref‘s Marcel Monkey forecasts through minutes & sked. Results: pic.twitter.com/9sHsmI5zZh — Kevin Ferrigan (@NBAcouchside) October 16, 2015

And if you can’t see what those are, one is an HPBasketball network prediction that puts the Celtics at 54 wins.
FIFTY FOUR WINS!!!
And another from Basketball Reference that has a much lower 47 win total, but a total that’s good for the SIXTH BEST record in all of basketball!
Of course, 54 wins would be cause for celebration!
If the Celtics win 54 games I’ll streak down Causeway St… https://t.co/yrx9A78Zvm

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsLuckily for Chuck, we’re due for a mild winter in the Northeast, so he’ll experience minimal shrinkage during his run. I’ll of course be broadcasting this live on Periscope should this happen. I now picture Brad Stevens putting up a Chuck McKenney cutout with 54 pieces of removable clothing a la Major League.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDZ_lSJjgvk]I’m not entire sure if this is a good motivational tactic. Look, I’m optimistic about this season, but I’m not crazy enough to say 54 wins or second-best record in the East. But man, all these predictions keep rolling in and it’s getting hard to ignore them. So here’s hoping for 54 wins… and Chuck’s bits flapping in the early spring breeze.
@RedsArmy_John @RedsArmy_Chuck if he does do it we can all go over to @SullivansTap and drink to forget!
