Premium prices = Brooklyn’s 1st round pick in 2016 and 2018. If Atlanta has decided to move Horford, then I’m pretty sure their asking price drops at 2:45pm.
As for Howard, I might give Houston the worst 1st round pick we have because he’d make the playoff push this year interesting. But after reading another diva tale out of Houston, I’m passing on him long term.
Meanwhile, the Herald’s Steve Bulpett says the Celtics aren’t overly enamored with Al Horford anyway:
The pick would not be in play for Al Horford, but that matter seems moot anyway. The C’s have had no recent talks with Atlanta about him, and, in addition to what the Hawks might want should they move him, it is clear from sources that the Celts are not willing to pay the 6-foot-10 center big money when he becomes a free agent in the summer.
I find it hard to believe the Celtics wouldn’t pay Horford big money. This smells like posturing.
