Sean Marks is doing his job in Brooklyn. He was giving a crap situation and he knows the only way he can make it better is to tear the whole thing down and build something from the ground up. Where the Nets once cared about winning games just to spite the Celtics and their cache of Brooklyn lottery picks, Marks doesn’t care where his now Boston-owned properties land.
So today, he traded one of the two decent players he had remaining on the roster.
Brooklyn has traded forward Thad Young to the Indiana Pacers for the 20th pick and a future 2nd rounder, league sources tell @TheVertical.

We knew the Nets would be bad next season, but they could be historically bad. Which means the Celtics will get another great pick. And next year’s draft is supposed to be better than this one.
So while I’m ok with Ainge moving the third pick this year… and even the 2018 Nets pick… I’m begging him… DON’T MOVE NEXT YEAR’S PICK SWAP!!! This could be the year the C’s finally get that top pick.
That is all, Danny. You may now continue your fleecing of the league.
By the way… Indiana is weirdly intriguing now with Jeff Teague and Thad Young. We’re going to have to watch them this summer. I’m curious about the roster they’re constructing.
