Media Day is the unofficial start to the 2016-17 basketball season. All I can say is… thank god. That was one long-ass off-season.
Here are some tidbits…

Not a surprise that Al is sucking up to the fans. Meanwhile, Isaiah Thomas isn’t getting complacent:
.@Isaiah_Thomas said he has spent time with a sleep doctor to help him be fresher this season, in addition to changing his diet.

Will we see any national anthem protests at the Garden?

Regarding possible protests during the national anthem, Celtics have made it clear they’re talking about it but not sharing a plan now.

Avery Bradley’s tribute to Kevin Garnett:
#Celtics Avery Bradley wrote a letter of appreciation to Kevin Garnett: He's a special person … I was lucky to have him as a teammate.

And last, but not least, James Young:

Can’t fault a guy for aiming high but I’d be happy if Young emulated Gerald Green, nevermind PG.
