This is the extended version of the video courtesy of That Sports Babe. The chair throw comes at :49 but you don't see it until later… but you can hear the reaction and the announcers are talking about how the chair hit one of the Greek players (who was in street clothes) and how the chair throw was the low point of this whole episode.
The cops apparently thought the same thing… because Nenad Krstic spent the night in jail for it.
Oklahoma City Thunder center Nenad Krstic was detained by Greek authorities overnight following a bloody fight during a FIBA game between Krstic's Serbia and Greece in Athens Thursday. Reuters reports that Krstic was released by Greek police Friday morning, though he faces misdemeanor-level "sports violence" charges which will likely carry a fine.
Krstic threw a chair during Thursday's fourth-quarter fight at Olympic Indoor Hall. It was apparently meant for Greek center Sofoklis Schortsanitis, but instead hit Greek big man Ioannis Bourousis, who hadn't played in the game. The blow drew blood, and Bourousis had to be stopped from going after Krstic.
You'll see the blood later in that clip.
All in all… a wild scene. And it could be costly to both teams if any of these guys is suspended for the Worlds… it could cost their teams games.
Who throws a chair… honestly?
And hey Paul Pierce… are you sure THIS is what you want to do after you're done with the Celtics?
