That former Celtic Delonte West, who was recently waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves, was apartment hunting in Waltham. We have no idea why Delonte would be nosing around Celtics country, what with Rajon Rondo and Nate Robinson already in da house. But do stay tuned …

Herald Inside Track

One step up from reporting unsubstantiated rumors is reporting something from the Herald's Inside Track.  But… this is the third time Delonte's been mentioned in town recently.  Is this a case of where there's smoke, there's Delonte blazing up a fatty fire?

Let's just indulge the rumors for a minute, since we don't know for sure if this is really happening.  Signing Delonte means Von Wafer is your emergency small forward when if Marqius goes down. Which means the Celtics will go into the season pretty small on the perimeter.  Which means facing teams that are tall on the perimeter… like…oh, let's pick one at random…. the Miami Heat will be a bit more of a challenge.  

I'll save the analysis for later.  For now, I'll just search You Tube for Delonte's greatest hits and pop a couple of favorites on Page 2.
