The St. Louis Blues tried to send Nate Prosser through waivers, but the Minnesota Wild stepped in and claimed the defenseman. The move came as a big surprise not because of the fact Prosser was claimed, but because of who claimed him. Prosser spent five years with Minnesota before leaving over the summer to sign a contract with the Blues.
To reiterate, the Wild let Prosser leave, the Blues signed him then tried to send him down through waivers only to have the Wild claim him again. Got all that? It’s confusing and kind of a strange situation, but now Prosser returns to an organization he knows very well.
Maybe the Wild had some sort of remorse?
