Weird: Roman Polak scores on Jaroslav Halak

Here’s a weird sight to see. Roman Polak, now with the Toronto Maple Leafs, scored a goal in his team’s game against the New York Islanders. The opposing goaltender? None other than Jaroslav Halak.

Bizarre.

Polak is off to a nice start with his new team. Over 424 regular season games with the Blues, the defenseman lit the lamp just 13 times. No one is expecting Polak to be a goal machine with the Maple Leafs, but it’s clear the team has placed a lot of trust in him. Aside from scoring, he also led all Maple Leafs in total time on the ice.
