Paul Stastny lands on the IR

The Blues have placed Paul Stastny on the IR and recalled Dmitrij Jaskin. Stastny has been labeled as week-to-week after injuring his shoulder in a game against the Arizona Coyotes.

While the move to the IR may sounds like bad news, it’s not really a surprising considering his expected return was being measured in weeks and not days. Why not stash him on the IR and get a healthy player up from the AHL? The Blues have also been battling an infection which is traveling the dressing room, so an extra available body will come in handy while Stastny recovers.
