Jori Lehtera named NHL’s First Star of the Week

Here’s a headline which might sound kind of familiar. Jori Lehtera has been named the First Star of the Week by the NHL. This comes just a couple weeks after teammate Vladimir Tarasenko was named the NHL’s top star. Lehtera claims the honor had four goals and six points over the course of three games last week.

It’s pretty incredible to see just how successful the STL line has been at this stage of the season. Aside from having two players earn First Star honors only after a handful of weeks, the line has combined for 33 points in their last eight games.

At this pace, look for another member of the STL line to crack the league’s Stars of the Week selection in the near future.
