It was an incredible run, but Jay Bouwmeester’s Iron Man streak has ended. After 737 consecutive games, Bouwmeester is forced to miss Sunday’s contest against Winnipeg due to a lower-body injury.
Bouwmeester (lower-body injury) is NOT on the ice for warm-ups. The streak will end at 737. #stlblues

Bouwmeester’s 737-game streak was the longest in all of sports. Considering how common injuries are in hockey and how physical the sport can be, it’s amazing that Bouwmeester was able to play so many consecutive games. Add in the fact the St. Louis dressing room was one of the epicenters of a nasty bacterial infection, Bouwmeester’s run is even more impressive.
