The Globe's Gary Washburn spoke with Nate Robinson about the trade with Oklahoma City. Here's what Nate had to say about Perk:
Nate on KPerkins: "He's taking it pretty hard because he's been here 8 years. He was real emotional, crying. I feel bad for him.
He's been in real tied in with Rondo and other guys on the team. I feel his pain.
With Perk, everybody thinks he's mean because of how he looks but he's a soft giant. He has a good heart.He's a good person.
I told him he's not alone. We're going (to OKC) together. It's not like you'll be by yourself, you got me right by your side. We're going to make it work together."
Aw man, I really feel for Perk. These guys are well aware of the business side of the league, but sometimes it's impossible not to get emotionally attached to your team, teammates and city.
