If you want to see why hockey fans believe the officiating in the NHL is the worst in any of the major sports, go back and watch the Blues’ 1-0 loss to the Jets. There’s the penalty on Paul Stastny which wiped out a goal. There’s the phantom high-stick by T.J. Oshie. There’s the missed high-stick on David Backes. That list just keeps on going.
After a horrible night of officiating, there’s only one thing you can do – sarcastically applaud the officials.
