After each game, we'll be taking stock in each players… and maybe coach's… performance. If we like what we see, we're buyin'. If we don't, we're sellin'. Or maybe we'll just hold onto our stock until we see more next game
Paul Pierce: Once again Paul Pierce embodies the advanced metrics "efficiency" buzzword. 22 points on 10 field goal attempts once again supports my assertion that Pierce is having maybe his best offensive season ever. I'm 1000000% with Doc when he says your best offensive player needs to get the ball more late.
Rajon Rondo: He's still missing a ton of shots but he was the aggressive, attacking Rondo again last night. I'm buying into the notion that he's back from whatever it was that was holding him back before.
Delonte West: I'm buying Delonte's jumper as a weapon for this team. He was shooting it with confidence last night and if he continues to do so, he can step up and be the lead guy on the second unit and a very valuable replacement for Ray Allen so he can get some rest before the playoffs.
Nenad Krstic: He had a horrible game. And not only did he have a bad game, the frustration showed on his face. I'm selling Nads until he can get back to what he was doing a few weeks ago. Stop hesitating down low, take the shots when they're there, and continue to work hard and try to pick up the defense.
Glen Davis: Baby can be a little too jumper happy, but there's no way he'd be in this slot if he kept his wits about him and did ANYTHING other than shoot a contested 3 with seven seconds left on the clock. I get it, Baby, the team needed a 3 to tie… but there are still better options and a you had a timeout. Be smarter and I'll buy into you again.
Troy Murphy: I know we shouldn't have expected much from a post-trade deadline signing, but I still would expect more from Troy. He looks completely lost. To this point, calling him a disaster might be generous.
Doc Rivers: On the one hand, he's trying to win games because there's a dogfight for the #1 seed. On the other, the Big 4 all played 35 or more minutes last night. It's still a delicate balancing act.
Jeff Green: He was the only guy hitting shots early in the game. But then he didn't do much late. His stat line looks good, but I swear I forget he's on the floor sometimes. Is he quietly awesome? Awesomely quiet? I'm still not sure what to make of him.
