From Chris Forsberg we have video of Jermaine from this morning’s walkthrough/shootaround. He says he was very winded during his first practice which was yesterday, but Doc still thought “he had a good day.”
I predicted early in the season that J.O. would not last the entire 2010-11 campaign, but not because I have anything against him. It’s just the simple fact that his knees and legs have taken quite the beating over the years.
I know alot of folks don’t expect much out of J.O. and some don’t particularly care for him. But I give the dude alot of credit. When he was healthy early-on in the season, he was playing some great defense and really hustling out there. He has worked his ass off to get back in shape so he can try and help this team. Sure, he’s got bitten by the injury-bug quite a bit, but it’s not like the guy hasn’t made an effort to get back on the court.
At this point, with Shaq’s return still in doubt and the C’s getting killed in the paint, we should be grateful for whatever healthy big bodies we can throw out there. I hate to sound negative, but I think we need to start realistically looking at the possiblity of not having Shaq for the postseason. Just being honest.
