The Matchup
Last time
The Celtics beat the Heat 85-82 at the Garden on February 13. The key play of the game was a Lebron James missed free throw with 14 seconds remaining. Rajon Rondo had a triple double (11, 10 and 10). Glen Davis had 16 points off the bench.
This time
Get it to: Rajon Rondo
He's averaging 14 apg vs Miami this season. Mike Bibby is getting the bulk of the point guard minutes as Miami eases Mario Chalmers back from injury. Rondo vs Bibby may be one of the worst mismatches in NBA history. Attack the rim and if Miami rotates in time, Rondo should dish to several open teammates.
Gotta stop: Dwyane Wade
How bad has Wade been against Boston this season? He's averaged 12 points on 26% shooting. Are the Celtics doing anything out of the ordinary on defense? I'm not sure, but whatever it is, keep it up.
The Wild Card: Benches
Glen Davis is shooting 60% vs Miami. Delonte West and Jeff Green have yet to play against the Heat. If these guys deliver even a B effort, it could be enough to help Boston prevail.
How we see it goin' down
With the 2nd seed on the line, both teams will come out swinging. This one will have a playoff atmosphere. While the Celtics will want to avenge Thursday night's debacle in Chicago, Miami is the more desperate team. A season sweep would be disasterous. Miami takes it, 91-90.
After the jump, some advance scouting on the Heat dancers. Hey… it's another big game.
