Club Level seats at Blues games reportedly have a new alcohol policy

Fans who have sat in the Club Level at Blues games are probably accustomed to the unlimited food and drinks which come with the ticket. According to a fan who recently sat in the section during a preseason game, that policy has ended when it comes to alcohol.

The fan, as seen over on Reddit, sat in the section and had three little tags on the wristband handed out to sit in the section. Each tag represented one alcoholic drink, meaning there was a cap on three alcoholic drinks over the course of the game. The food and other drinks (soda, etc) remained unlimited.

Season ticket holders were notified of the change, but there’s bound to be some confused single-game buyers who are surprised by the change.

Glass Seats (the ones with access to the Blue Note Zone) don’t appear to have changed.

This is an interesting and controversial move by the Blues. Ticket prices appear to remain the same price to sit in the Club Level. There’s obviously potential issues which could arise should a fan go overboard with the All You Can Drink alcohol format (believe me, it happens and it’s incredibly uncomfortable when a family is next to a rowdy bachelor party), but isn’t that responsibility on the fan? The St. Louis Cardinals have numerous All You Can Drink seating options and they do not have a limit on the alcoholic beverages.

It’ll be interesting to see how this change is received by fans should it end up being permanent.
