What the experts are saying about the Cs draft

Here's some analysis of the Celtics draft picks:

Analysis: When you're drafting as low as the Celtics are in a weak draft, you temper expectations. But I think they may have found two players who can help.

Johnson was underrated all season, mostly because he was a senior. He's long, athletic and skilled, and he has improved every year.

Moore is the consummate role player. He isn't great at anything, but his overall game is solid. Both players could help the Celtics down the road.

ESPN – Chad Ford (Insider)

JaJuan Johnson seems like the anti-Glen Davis. He’s got length and athleticism, but needs to improve his basketball IQ and put on some bulk if he’s going to stick in the league. He certainly will inject energy into the aging Celtics, it’s just a question if he will be consistent enough to stay on the court. -Seth Sommerfeld

Purdue reunion in B-Town! E’twaun Moore joins JaJuan Johnson with the Celtics. Moore is a hardworking overachiever, who can do a tiny bit of everything. He’s going to fight and do all he can get a roster spot. –Seth Sommerfeld

Chad Ford gave the Celtics an A-. That's a pretty lofty grade for two guys who might be able to contribute down the road.

Some of our readers are drawing comparisons between Johnson and KG. It's the build, defensive prowess and jump shooting ability.

I'll bet all my shares of Red's Army LLC that Moore doesn't make the team.
