GreenLight Madness: Celtics Top 64 Plays: Round 2 (#54 Seed vs #43 Seed)

Last night the majority of the sports world was focused on MLB's Home Run Derby as the All-Star Festivities began.  Today's matchup features a couple of plays by Jeff Green that you might normally see at an all-star type setting.  Both were low seeded plays that upset their higher seeded matchups in the first round.  There's no pressing need for Green to replace any of the incumbents in the starting lineup, but he should certainly log a lot more minutes than he did last season, especially if it's a shortened season with a lot of games jumbled together.

Seed #43 – Jeff Green Circus Shot vs Milwaukee – During a mid-March Sunday evening against the Bucks at the Garden, the C's are putting the finishing touches on an absolute obliteration of the deer. Jeff Green decides to put a little cherry on this sundae with this circus flip shot that somehow goes in. It was a rare luck of the Irish moment for him.

Seed #54: During the same game when Shaq's season essentially ended against Detroit in April, Delonte and Green combined on a solid alley-oop. Jason Maxiell loses the ball underneath the hoop and Paul Pierce is able to get control of the ball and fire it ahead to Ray Allen. Ray passes to Delonte who notices a streaking Green and executes a great alley-oop as he gets pushed by Charlie Villanueva. Much to Tommy Heinsohn's chagrin, there is no foul called.
