Last weekend, the sneaker world saw ridiculous numbers of people doing anything and everything to try and get a pair of the Ray Allen XIII's. There were stores that had to release early due to "safety concerns", a tragic explosion on Route 1 near the Square One Mall that caused Footaction to cancel their release and lots of other drama. A frustrating, stressful and downright dangerous weekend for sneakerheads in the 617.
Prices from resellers for the prized Air Jordan XIII's on EBay are averaging about $700, and I've seen them for as much as $1200. But guess what….Jordan Brand is going to drop more. Buddy of mine at work emailed the scoop. Sneakerfiles.com is reporting that all House of Hoops locations will be releasing the shoe at some point. A House of Hoops employee told me last weekend that the "new batch" will not have the "Ray" shootman logo on the tongue. We'll have to wait and see.
