I touched on this in the preview, but it's looking more like Rajon Rondo will be back tonight.
While there's still no official word yet, all indications are that Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo will return to the Celtics' lineup tonight against the New York Knicks.
Rondo, who has missed the last eight games with a right wrist injury, was an active participant in the team's morning shootaround.
Marquis Daniles did not participate. He's got a mild ankle sprain. Which leaves the bench woefully shorthanded in the "towel waving" category.
Sorry. I'm perplexed and a little sad about Quis, but my only defense mechanism is sarcasm and attempted humor.
Back to Rondo, who has attempted to temper expectations about his return.
"Regardless when I come back, it's not like I'm going to come back 100 percent," Rondo said. "I'm just trying to get as close as whenever I can function. If that's 50 percent, then I'll be back."
Rondo will be fine. I will not fall for his tempered expectations. I'm betting he flirts with a triple double tonight.
