With a 3-2 victory over Oakland Thursday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers continued their league-wide dominance and increased their lead in the National League West to NINE games.
Why is this of any significance?
Prior to the season beginning, The Hall put out its Milestone Preview for the NL West and stated “off the field, manager Joe Torre is 44 wins away from leapfrogging Sparky Anderson and Bucky Harris and moving into fifth place on the all-time list.”
