Adrian Grenier Challenges Erik Karlsson to “Stop Sucking”

Stop sucking?

Don’t worry, Erik. I’ve got your back.

So what exactly is Grenier getting at here?

The Entourage star launched a campaign called ‘Strawless Ocean‘ this spring that uses the #StopSucking hashtag to encourage individuals, bars and restaurants to use straws made of “paper, metal, glass, bamboo or reeds rather than single-use plastic” ones.

According to campaign’s official website:

We use 500 million plastic straws every day in the U.S.

Many of those plastic straws end up in our oceans, polluting the water and harming sea life. If we don’t act now, by 2050 plastics in the ocean will outweigh the fish. One small change can have a big impact: #stopsucking on plastic straws.

I have no idea why Vinny Chase targeted Erik Karlsson in particular, a quick glance at Karlsson’s instagram and Twitter feeds revealed nothing.

But hey, if the Senators’ captain gets free publicity out of it and can help spur interest in an initiative that helps protect the environment and can help save the oceans, then that’s fantastic.

#stopsucking
