PLAYING CAREER: Cleveland Indians (1990–1996), New York Mets (1996–1998), San Diego Padres (1999), Cleveland Indians (1999), Boston Red Sox (2002), Arizona Diamondbacks (2003–2004) and Washington Nationals (2005)
ACHIEVEMENTS: Career batting average of .291 with 1,543 hits. Three time All-Star (1992, 1993 and 1995). In 1992 and 1993, he became the first second baseman since Rogers Hornsby to have back-to-back seasons of 200 hits, 20 home runs, 100 RBI and a .300 batting average.

HOVG THOUGHTS: Alright, there’s not a chance Baerga gets a vote…but he did look like the next best thing after those first five years in Cleveland. But then again, a lot of dudes did for those early 90s Indians.
