Pujols Taking His Talents to South Beach?

Who is on Twitter doesn’t surprise me anymore…it’s what they tweet.

Consider this one:

Look for Albert Pujols to follow Ozzie Guillen to Florida if the Cardinals dont resign him….#insidescoop

Now, I’d offer you a bunch of guesses as to who banged that out, but after you ran down the list of credible sources…we’d both be exhausted.

The source…none other than Dwight Gooden.

Now, I don’t know what to make of this.  If “Doc” knows what he’s talking about, it’s either (A) the biggest scoop in years or (B) the start of a tampering case.

I don’t pretend to know anything more about Gooden than you do, but think about it…if that guy knows that Pujols is planning on leaving St. Louis and taking his talents to South Beach to play for the Florida Marlins, someone out there can’t keep their mouth shut.

Oooor…the 1985 National League Cy Young Award winner is telling tales.
