Stephen Curry: Drawing Some Attention While In New York For DegreeMen (Photo: @letsgowarriors Instagram account)
Before making his next stop to Chicago for the second phase of USA Basketball Men’s National Team (#USABMNT) training camp, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is currently visiting New York to fulfill his endorsement responsibilities with DegreeMen, including shooting threes against a Grantland writer.
Thus far, he’s been on the Doug Gottlieb Show, where he said #TeamUSA would be trying to win gold for Paul George.
Then he went on the Dan Patrick Show where he was asked if he thought himself a better offensive player than LeBron James.
When Curry responded by choosing himself, it later drew criticism from many circles, including on his own Instagram post where he said he had stopped by Jimmy Fallon‘s studio.
Finally on TrueHoop TV, Curry said that his mom has called him “Stephen” (inflection on the first syllable, of course) ever since he was a baby and it stuck, whereas his dad Dell had dropped the “War” and “Stephen”.
Stephen added that if he has a son, he may name him Trey in honor of being “Wardell Stephen Curry III”.
Curry is expected to be at #USABMNT camp in Chicago tomorrow, August 14th, through Sunday. On Monday, the team will return to New York, making a pitstop at West Point on August 18th before heading to Manhattan on August 19th.
