Does anyone in St. Louis watch basketball in their living room?
This past Sunday, after the St. Louis Billikens won the Atlantic-10 conference championship, the team gathered to see who their opponent would be in the NCAA tournament. Their location of choice…a Best Buy in New Jersey.
Sure, it sounds ridiculous, but considering the team bus hit traffic en route to the airport after leaving the Barclays Center, a detour to a local electronics store is probably not the worst stop off when looking for a television.
Now, flash forward to Thursday.
Workers at Busch Stadium were busy preparing the field for the start of the upcoming season Thursday afternoon while their Billikens were on the court taking on New Mexico State and naturally, they wanted to watch the game.
So, with no Best Buy available at the ballpark, they did the next best thing…they threw the game feed up on the scoreboard.
The Billikens went on to throttle the Aggies 64-44 to advance to the third round of the tourney. I'll leave the "more like Arch Madness" jokes to you.
