We've all heard the stories of players taking out a full page ad when they leave a team. But a team taking out a full page ad to welcome a new player? That's a new one.
Just days after inking Kyle Lohse to a three-year deal worth $33 million, the Milwaukee Brewers announced the signing in grand fashion.
The ad, while clever, is interesting. I mean, are they trying to win over the fans? If so, why?!? Lohse's numbers over the past two seasons (30-11, 3.11 ERA) speak for themselves.
And if that isn't enough…just listen to Aramis Ramirez.
"He's a quality starting pitcher," the Brewers third baseman said. "I've faced him a lot. He's a real smart pitcher. He's not overpowering, but every five days he's going to give you a chance to win. He's a real good pitcher."
