Remember not that long ago when we were all laughing and giggling about Chipper Jones’ seemingly made up Twitterspeak? Well, something tells me he wishes he could take back this post from Wednesday afternoon…or at least claim his account was compromised.
I got cursed at and called names by a ton of people growing up. Were they fired? Nope! Do I care? Nope! What's the big deal? Toughen up!

Now, in case you’ve been living in a cave and not sure what the Atlanta Braves legend is referring to…it’s this. Tuesday, footage went public of Rutgers basketball coach verbally and physically abusing his players.
Having seen the ESPN report (video below), it’s easy to sit on the sidelines and talk about what you would or wouldn’t have done as a player. But to pretend that what Rice did was okay and to tell everyone to “toughen up”?
Yikes.
And I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that yeah, Jones was probably called names. Hell, someone thought that “Chipper” was a better name than “Larry”…but did the future Hall of Famer ever have a baseball thrown at his head from ten feet away or grabbed around the collar?
Probably not.
Feel free to let me know when Jones deletes the comment or pulls the tired “I was hacked” routine…I’m not following the guy any longer.
