Keith Hernandez Plans to Stay ‘Stacheless

Last September, longtime Mustached American Keith Hernandez threatened to lose the lip sweater.  Then, well…he did the unthinkable.

Now, months later, the New York Mets announcer is continuing to turn the knife in the back of those who were devastated when he shaved off his mustache.

According to ESPN's Adam Rubin, the former MVP is sticking with the clean upper lip.

In 2007, Hernandez was awarded title of "Greatest Sports Mustache of All Time".  After shaving his signature 'stache, word was that the American Mustache Institute was thinking of stripping Hernandez of his title.  Proving to be the proverbial bigger man…they didn't.

Now that Hernandez is planning on living life sans mustache, you've gotta wonder if the AMI will re-consider their stance.
