Hyun-jin Ryu is riding high so far this young season with a 2-1 record. Dig a little deeper and add those two victories for the Los Angeles Dodgers to his career totals in Korea, and the pitcher has already hit the century mark.
Suffice it to say, at just 26, dude is one of the youngest to notch 100 victories and with just 193 professional starts under his belt, he was one of the quickest as well. By comparison, when Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander got his 100th victory in 2011, he did it after just 191 career games…faster than all but 12 pitchers since 1919.
Oh, not only did the righty get win number 100, he also collected his first Major League hit…a double. And he did it with Mom and Pops in the stands.
