When the Los Angeles Angels inked Josh Hamilton in the off season, we all knew this was going to happen at some point, right? Well, if you Game 39 in the pool…you win.
Hopefully now, you've got something to cheer about.
That's right, the Halos' dynamic, um, trio(?) of Albert Pujols, Mike Trout and Josh Hamilton each went deep Tuesday night off Jeremy Guthrie in the team's 6-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals. Oh, and if you're scoring at home…Howie Kendrick went yard too. Just sayin'.
Sidenote, er, notes. Not only was this Guthrie's first loss of the season, it was also the first time the hurler gave up four dingers in one game. And in case you were wondering (you weren't), the last pitcher to give up four homers against the Angels in a game was Oakland A's righty Dan Straily, on Aug. 8, 2012.
