So…this is the way it ends, eh? As T.S. Eliot once wrote…”not with a bang, but with a whimper”.
Sure, the scribe might’ve penned that line about World War I, but I prefer to think that it’s about Chipper Jones’ decision to abandon Twitter.
No more twitter for me. Said I'd do it for one year and the time is up. Too much hate and too many trolls. Much love to Braves country! Xo

As you might recall, the Atlanta Braves legend became quite the social media star when he logged on to Twitter last year. Dude made up words, called out players and interacted with fans. He was having fun.
Of course, along the way, the future Hall of Famer also expressed (for some reason) his displeasure over the findings of the Warren Commission, told the Rutgers basketball team to “toughen up” and, of course, had some suggestions on how to keep “illegals” out of the country.
So goodnight, Mr. Jones…it’s been a good ride. I know in my heart you’ll be back, but until then, you enjoy your time at the Double Dime Ranch and we’ll all pretend your goodbye was sincere.
