Monday, the Boston Red Sox opened the new season by dropping a heartbreaker to the Baltimore Orioles.
Tuesday, the 2013 World Champions hopped on a bus to make the 50 minute trip south to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and visit the President. And, no doubt, leading the way…Jonny Gomes, who, as patriotic as he’d like to appear, looks just enough like Travis Bickle in a barbershop quartet to suggest that someone might want to do a background check.

And, yes, in case you’re wondering, you can almost guarantee someone at the White House will make a hackneyed “Duck Dynasty” quote when it comes to cheering on the Sox. Why? Because Press Secretary Jay Carney already has his Phil Robertson approved beard hanging off his face.
